Von Miller reveals his Super Bowl memories
Many seem to forget it was just five years ago when a rampant Von Miller single-handedly willed the Denver Broncos to their third Super Bowl — and first since 1999.
With Peyton Manning in the midst of his swan song, Miller took matters into his own hands, creating two forced fumbles, 2.5 sacks on his way to Super Bowl MVP.
Were there any nerves before the game? What stands out to him as a distinct memory from that magical evening in Santa Clara?
On the inaugural Worldwide QB Podcast, the big man told Patrick Djordjevic there was no anxiety, not even one shred of doubt before taking the field. What a machine.
I think before the game man. It was one of the games where I wasn’t nervous. I didn’t have that jittery feeling man,” Von said during the conversation.
“We had two weeks up until that game to prepare for the guys. It was a Super Bowl man, [but] I just remember feeling very confident in how I was feeling and how the game was going to go.
“I wasn’t worried about getting hurt or messing up on plays, none of that stuff man. I was just super confident and just went after it bro and took it one play at a time man. I wasn’t thinking about the next play, I was really just living in the moment man. It felt good and it felt good to be there.”
