Michael Dickson shares his unusual morning routine
Seattle stud specialist Michael Dickson has had his share of life experience. After pursuing a career in Australian rules in his homeland, Dickson turned his attention to America’s game. With the help of punting factory Prokick Australia, the lovable Aussie found a home in Texas, excelling there before Seattle drafted Dickson in the 5th round in the 2018 Draft.
During his professional and personal life, Dickson has experienced ups and downs like any other human, though these two profound pieces of advice have held him in good stead.
“I don’t know who I got it from but it’s just something that’s always stuck with me,” Dickson said. “I forget the exact quote but the message was just like, ‘Aim way higher than what you think is achievable — just aim really high for your goals’ because if you fall short of them you’re still going to do really well. Don’t really limit yourself. That’s the thing that’s probably stuck with me the most.
”Something I always try and go back to is ‘Amor Fati’, which means to love your fate. It’s kind of like a stoic saying but [it means] love everything, even the bad things. Just embrace everything because that’s kind of just life. So enjoy the bad things because it’s all part of it. Just love your fate.”
